Funding Your College Education

Tips:

  1. Start EARLY!!!!! You need to fill out your FAFSA as close to January 1 of your Senior Year in High School as possible! Federal and State Financial Aid (Grants & Loans) are needs based and first come first served. Need is determined by family income and the cost of the school you plan to attend.

  2. Check with your parent's employers about grant/scholarship opportunities. Apply for every scholarship that you think you may qualify for. Apply early and often!

  3. Many grants and scholarships go unclaimed each year because no one applies.

  4. Internet is a great source for information, but be very careful. Don't pay for services that you should be receiving for free - and get a guarantee if you pay!!
